SAMAG, SWECO and CLEAN CAPITAL have joined forces to create the infrastructure fund Clean Ventures. The firms sealed their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding.
With the MoU, each partner states his commitment to contribute their respective fields of expertise to create long-term value for the fund’s investors. The structure ensures a strong alignment of interests and provides a deep commitment to generate social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.
Experts in renewable energies and infrastructure as partners
The partnership’s unique set-up of complementary capabilities and market position provides an innovative platform for Clean Ventures. As a result, it is possible to combine high technical and administrative expertise with an unique network to sustainably access attractive projects and investment targets.
Clean Ventures initially consists of three sub funds:
• EURenewables – with strong focus on sustainable investments in the area of photovoltaic solutions and power purchase agreements.
• Clean Infrastructure Solutions in Europe
• Geothermal Heat in the Netherlands
The German investment boutique SAMAG provides all necessary services and solutions to structure, launch and successfully operate an investment fund. Starting from an officially licensed AIFM in Luxembourg, to an operative fund advisory unit in Germany as well as in-house O&M and Accounting services, the SAMAG group consistently covers the entire investment value chain.
SWECO’s extensive engineering expertise as Europe’s largest engineering consultancy firm with more than 14,500 consultants provides the fund with wide variety of technical know-how and deep industry insight for investment opportunities.
Clean Capital, one of the leading specialized companies for photovoltaic solutions, completes the partnership with profound regional embedment and the means to implement smart solar energy solutions.
The Clean Ventures fund targets institutional investors for both equity and debt investments. First closing is projected for Q3 2017.
